My grounding in the natural world serves as the basis for my work, and each piece relies on the common thread of human and animal relationships. Working on these drawings has allowed me to investigate the expressions, gestures, and forms that make animals simultaneously so beautiful and strange, in addition to exploring my own connections with animals and the places we both share. My work serves as a witness to creatures who might otherwise go unnoticed, employing the rich language of drawing to communicate my love for the animal world.
